Luca Awards Student of the Year Nominee 2024

To be honest, despite being in accounts for over twenty years, I had never heard about the Luca Awards. Not until I became a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB). And when my college, Ideal School sent me an email informing me that my name had come up several times by the tutors and they wanted to put me forward as Student of the year, it totally blew me away. I was humbled by the honor. I had to take some time to soak it all in but of course I accepted the awesome gesture.

Despite not having any GCSEs or O levels due to circumstances beyond my control and having never been formally diagnosed, except for the college results of being borderline dyslexic thirty odd years ago, I have never doubted my ability to achieve. And the Student of the Year Luca Awards Nomination 2024 is yet another mark of esteem I will forever hold and cherish.
